Introductions
Jan. 2nd, 2012 04:37 pmAs this is a brand spanking new journal--old name, new platform--I thought it was time for another introductory post.
I am in my mid-twenties. I am a recent University graduate in the field of Art Education. I have a minor in English, a love of Linguistics, and I used to perform with a local community band until about a year ago.
I presently work as a barista while I figure life out.
I am a painter by emphasis--working primarily with floral and landscape subjects.
I am also a photographer by hobby. I could never do it as a trade, but it keeps my artistic eye sharp, and it gets me out to visit local gardens.
I am a writer of both original fiction and fanfiction. My main genre is Final Fantasy IV. I think my name has somehow become synonymous with Rydia's--as she's the character I write for the most. I am a trumpeter and a pianist. I played the trumpet locally up until last December when it no longer fit into my school schedule to do so. I have many years' experience with both instruments, and I absolutely adore movie scores. I am the kind of person who can recognize a song and what film it's from within the first five seconds of hearing it.
I am a deep thinking person. I spend most of my time wandering the landscapes of imaginary worlds, but on rare occasions, I return to earth with some of the insights I've acquired along the way :P
Of course, this is also balanced by a great need for drama, of which I have a great deal from my job working inside a mall environment. I often post about the work that I do and the tribulations I experience, but I try to keep all of it a little tongue-in-cheek.
